A teacher was on good terms with (My AP Composition teacher) asked
me to do a splash page/menu background for one of her Lotus Notes databases.
These databases, collected every year at the end of the school year, were
compilations of the best work done by all the students on that particular
DoDDS (Department of Defense Dependent Schools) network (which included
Europe and some schools in the Pacific). (Oddly enough, both of the
fanfics on this site are in the Best of the Best Databases ^_^; I posted
them for extra credit with a disclamer explaining that they were fanfiction
and all...mostly out of boredom....) From the commision, the idea
of a storyteller just seemed natural. The wizard was somewhat based
off Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
